The Natural State - from The Bergen Record

Coastal heritage

The New Jersey Coastal Heritage Trail links sites that give character to the Garden State coastline (we've added a few extras, too). Signs and interpretive centers are still being developed, but make sure you take the opportunity to visit the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge, a hotbed of birding activity. Cape May has a whole weekend's worth of natural sights to see.
