The Lepidopterists' Society. International society promoting the scientifically sound and progressive study of Lepidoptera. Members in 60 countries.

The Xerces Society. Nonprofit organization. Public education about invertebrates, and conservation projects. Named for the Xerces Blue butterfly (Glaucopsyche xerces), the first butterfly in North America known to become extinct as a result of human interference.
