"Return of the Indian
Spirit"
Pow Wow Set for Sept. 20-21-22

EXHIBITS AND DANCING AT BUDD LAKE, NJ

Whitewolf, who has been presenting Native American Pow Wows for
years, brings his "Return of the Indian Spirit" to New
Jersey this weekend. The Pow Wow is a wonderful opportunity for New
Jersey residents to learn more about Native American culture and
traditions. Held at Budd Lake's Vasa Park in Morris County, this
year's Pow Wow will feature:
- Native American drummers
and singers, and hundreds of costumed dancers competing for
prizes.
- Wildlife exhibits,
including live eagles, hawks, and owls, plus buffalo, bears, and
wolves. Handlers will give presentations on their animal
companions.
- Native American foods,
including buffalo burgers, fry bread, Indian tacos, and buffalo
stew with wild rice.
- 50 of America's finest
Native crafters. Native American arts and crafts will be for sale.
- Aztec Dancers from Mexico
City, performing ancient ceremonial dances, including the Sacred
Fire Dance.
Visitors can stroll through a
tipi village and listen to various Native American and environmental
lectures in the "Education Circle."
- Friday, September 20th
is Student's Day, hours 9:00am til 2:00pm.
- Saturday, September 21st
hours are 10:00am til 9:00pm. On Saturday night, visitors can
participate in a bonfire dance.
- Sunday, September 22nd
hours are 10:00am til 6:00pm.
Admission is $8.00 for
adults, and $3.00 for children 6-12. Children under 5 may enter for
