Delaware River Basin Commission
Commission members are the governors of the four basin states (New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Delaware) and a presidential appointee, traditionally the U.S. Secretary of the Interior. Commission programs include: water pollution abatement, water supply allocation, regulatory review (permitting), water conservation initiatives, regional planning, drought management, flood control and recreation.

Delaware Riverkeeper Network
A nonprofit, membership organization that has worked since 1988 to strengthen citizen protection of the Delaware River and its tributary watersheds.

Great Egg Harbor Watershed Association 
Formed in 1989 to help educate the residents of Southern New Jersey about The Great Egg Harbor River and protect it’s watershed.

Great Swamp Watershed Association

Lawrence Brook Watershed Partnership
Founded in 1997 to provide a unifying environmental force for the central New Jersey Townships of North Brunswick, South Brunswick, East Brunswick, the Borough of Milltown, and the City of New Brunswick, all of which have land within the 48 square mile watershed.

Musconetcong Watershed Association 
Incorporated in 1992 to protect and enhance the Musconetcong River and its related resources.

Passaic River Coalition
Nonprofit watershed association dedicated to careful resource management and conservation in the 935 square mile Passaic River Basin in Northern New Jersey and part of New York State.

Pequannock River Coalition
 
Dedicated to the preservation of the Pequannock River as a natural, recreational, aesthetic and water supply resource.

South Jersey Watershed Alliance
A clearinghouse of information from volunteer environmental organizations, municipal Environmental Commissions, and concerned citizens on issues related to environmental protection in Atlantic, Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem Counties.

New Jersey Water Resources Research Institute 
A federally-funded program of research, training and information that sponsors research on all aspects of water quality, water quantity, water use, and the management of water resources, trains students at the undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels to become the next generation of water resource professional for New Jersey.

South Branch Watershed Association (SBWA) 
Dedicated to protecting the environment in the watershed of the South Branch Raritan River.

Stony Brook Millstone Watershed Association
Nonprofit organization. Dedicated to improving the quality of the environment in this region of Central New Jersey.

The Watershed Institute 
The Watershed Institute's goal is to create a consolidated resource that provides tailored advice, workshops and lectures to New Jersey watershed organizations.

The Wetlands Institute 
Promoting the conservation and preservation of coastal ecosystems by providing a fun and educational experience for families, school groups and vacationers of all ages.

Upper Raritan Watershed Association 
Nonprofit organization dedicated to watershed protection, restoration and conservation. Conducts scientific investigations and research. Founded to secure the highest degree of environmental protection for the watershed, identify potential and current threats to the environment, promote open-space preservation.

American Rivers
North America's leading national river/conservation organization. Mission: to protect and restore America's river systems and to foster a river stewardship ethic.
