Delaware River Basin Commission
Members are the governors of the four basin states (New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Delaware) and a presidential appointee (traditionally the U.S. Secretary of the Interior). Programs include: water pollution abatement, water supply allocation, regulatory review (permitting), water conservation initiatives, regional planning, drought management, flood control and recreation.


National/International

Council on Environmental Quality
Charged with the task of ensuring that federal agencies meet their obligations under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Advises the President on environmental policy.

International Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies
Quasi-governmental organization of public agencies charged with the protection and management of North America's fish and wildlife resources. Members include fish and wildlife agencies of the states, provinces, and federal governments of the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

League of Conservation Voters
A bi-partisan political arm of the national environmental movement. Works to elect a pro-environment  majority to congress.

National Marine Fisheries Service
Supports domestic and international fisheries management and habitat protection.

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)
NOAA's mission is to describe and predict changes in the Earth's environment and to conserve and manage wisely the nation's coastal and marine resources. Deep site. Deserves a look.

National Park Service
The National Park Service is a bureau of the Department of the Interior. Deep, deep site with maps, statistics, and photos.

Partners in Flight
Concentrating on land bird habitat issues for North America and the Neotropics. A cooperative effort involving partnerships among federal, state and local government agencies, philanthropic foundations, professional organizations, conservation groups, industry, the academic community, and private individuals.
