If you have an article or a book review that you would like to see published as part of Wild New Jersey, we certainly would like to see it.

  • Your article or review should be in the 300 to 500 word range, but we will sometimes make an exception if you have an excellent piece that is shorter or longer.
  • The subject should be New Jersey wildlife or conservation, of course, but that is a broad area that can include things as diverse as natural or anthropological history, poetry, an interview, anecdotal memoir or an opinion piece on an environmental issue.
  • Photographs and illustrations are great, but please check with us regarding the best format for submitting any graphic.
  • We would be especially interested to hear from you if you can provide us with photos of wildlife and plant species in New Jersey.
  • We cannot pay for submissions at this time. Wild New Jersey is a non-profit organization, and as such, we are on a tight budget!
  • We reserve the right to edit submissions for length or appropriateness.
  • We reserve the right to decline to publish a submission for whatever reason.
  • We will require submissions be in electronic format for publication, though we will accept paper copies during the consideration process.

Please send to the Wild New Jersey editors a copy of your completed article, or a brief description of your intended piece, along with a biographical paragraph. Make sure to include your name, your email address, your mailing address and a phone number where we can reach you during the day.
